The Cable Guy's Van is one of the two locked items you may come across in the opening hours of Dead Island 2. It's either this or the Mailman's container. As you might have guessed, you won't get the van's key on your first visit to Bel-Air. As such, here's our guide, which explains how to get the Cable Guy's Van keys in Dead Island 2.
How To Get The Cable Guy's Van Keys In Dead Island 2
You can get the Cable Guy's Van keys by killing the Cable Guy. He spawns not far from the van, on the street next to Goat Pen mansion. However, the Cable Guy won't appear here until you start the main quest, "O Michael, Where Art Though?"
Starting this quest will fast-forward the time of the day to night, and that's when the Cable Guy first appears. However, if you miss out on snagging the van's key on your way to rescue Michael in Beverly Hills, you can always come back later on, especially after unlocking fast-travel, to find the Cable Guy. Now he will spawn in Bel-Air all the time irrespective of the time. You can find his exact spawn location in the screenshot below.
The Cable Guy is an electric runner, so if you haven't faced this zombie type before, be careful. Naturally, he's immune to electric attacks and periodically sends electrical signals that can electrocute you.
Once you have taken care of the Cable Guy, grab the van's key from his corpse, and head back. You can find the Cable Guy's Van right outside the entrance of the Goat Pen mansion.
Unlock the Cable Guy's Van trunk to get a Rare-tier weapon infused with the Electrocutor mod.
